"When God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand." Proverbs 16:7
You cannot please everybody all the time. And it is a big mistake to try. Your constant need for approval can end up costing you God's best. When you are doing anything worthwhile, expect opposition from those who are not privy to God's plan for your life. That goes with the turf. Notice, Jesus "made himself of no reputation" Philippians 2:7. He was not always well thought of by others, but He knew He had God's approval - and that is what mattered to Him!
In Proverbs 21:1 Solomon says that just like changing direction of a moving river, God can change hearts and give you favor with those who did otherwise reject you. He also said, "When God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand." Does that mean you will not encounter opposition or people who disagree with you? No, but when you do, just concentrate on pleasing God and let Him deal with the fallout.
Remember, God takes up where you leave off. When you have exhausted all your efforts He can step in and open doors with the right people at just the right time. The truth is, He can get you a better job than you could get on your own, and give you blessings that humanly speaking, you do not deserve or qualify for. Just like the Holy Spirit enabled Jesus to fulfill His life's mission (See Luke 4:18 - 19), God will call, equip and enable you to fulfill His plan for your life. So stop trying so hard to make things happen on your terms, and begin praying for God's favor!

"You cannot please everybody all the time. And it is a big mistake to try".Immediately i saw your post Prov 16.7 came to my mind and when i got to your blog i saw it as has the scripture text. Thanks for these piece,it's encouraging, but will want to contribute a little.I like the way KJV puts it "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him",and it's only by His Grace/Favor that we can please him.Pleasing God should be priority in other to receive man's favor.
Thanks Cgun.
Great article! It seems like you have a fantastic understanding of the teachings of Jesus. Keep writing!
Also you might want to consider converting your blog to your own personal domain. That is what I did, and I am rather pleased with it.

If you are interested in empirical evidence for the existence of God, I do my best to provide that. If not, I have a section wherein I just write about Christianity. It is the 'Daily Christian' tab on my site.
God bless,
Richard
Thanks Richard Bushey.
